Andy's first favorite pastime is Flyball. Andy began playing Flyball when he was about a year and a half. He is very consistent and rarely ever makes mistakes. He is a really reliable and fits anywhere into a team, we have ran start dog through last dog, Andy doesn't really care as long as he gets to RUN!!

Andy also enjoys the occasional trip into the Altered Conformation ring. He's not a flashy dog, but he has taken Winners Dog, Reserve Winners dog, Best of Winners and Best Opposite. He also took 3rd in his class the the 2006 National Specialty in Wisconsin. More than I ever expect to do at a National, that's a lot of tough competition!!
Handsome Boy!
Thank-you Shelly Hollen for the nice movement shots!

Mostly though, Andy would love to spend his days Herding. It is what his brain says he was bred to do and he is darn good at it too, I always say that I am his biggest handicap! Andy has a great sense of Fetch and Gather. He has developed a really nice outrun and has an excellent way of not upsetting the stock. So far we have earned his STDsd. Now on to Open Sheep and Ducks and Started Cattle!
UPDATE: Andy earned OTDds and 1 leg towards STDc at the ASCofWA Olympia Dog Days 2007!! (pending ASCA verification) Wahoo!! My boy worked his heart out and everyone who saw him run said it was a joy to watch such a team (I feel so humbled). We garnered placements in all our runs including 1st in Open Ducks on Sunday! (except for cattle on Sunday). Way to Go ANDY!!

Andy and I have dabbled a bit in Agility and Obedience, but we really haven't done anything with it yet, I do have this dream of earning a Versatility title on him, but since time and money aren't always in good supply we just play along when we can for now.
And lastly for those who may be wondering, I got Andy at the Everett Animal Shelter, he had been turned in by his breeder citing they had "No time" for him. I called and begged them for his papers as he had not yet been registered at a year of age. I didn't know anything about registering dogs at the time, except that they had "fancy" three or more word names. I thought it was cute that he made little squealy noises when he was excited so that is how the name Andy's Little Piglet came to be. My dear friend Amanda thinks it is quite "undignified", but I can't really change it now! : )
